Deconstruction Zone is held every Spring Quarter and features events spanning several days to a week.
Deconstruction Zone is a program that creates a space for participants to examine the structures and histories that shape the world today. Its goal is to encourage the UCI community to reflect on identity and systemic oppression. It celebrates the resilience and creativity that emerge when communities come together to envision and create change.
Deconstruction Zone Hxstory
Deconstruction Zone is not just about gaining knowledge, but also about unlearning, rebuilding, and reimagining more equitable futures. Since the start, the series has provided opportunities for the UCI community to engage with issues of systemic oppression. Each year, this initiative highlights the importance of personal responsibility and collective efforts in driving transformation.
