Community Roots Festival Hxstory
Founded in 1984, the Community Roots Festival, formerly known as the Rainbow Festival, is one of the Cross-Cultural Center’s most cherished and longstanding traditions. This campus-wide celebration of culture, identity, and community invites students, staff, and faculty to come together in a joyful and healing environment that honors the richness of our diverse campus communities.
The festival features cultural performances, interactive booths, and fundraising opportunities hosted by our affiliated student organizations. It is a vibrant showcase of the voices, traditions, and stories that make up the UCI community.
More than just a festival, Community Roots serves as an intentional space for connection, celebration, and collective healing. It provides an opportunity to build relationships across communities, explore campus resources and student organizations, and learn more about the work and values of the Cross-Cultural Center.
